About AILTC
All India Law Teachers (AILTC) is a registered Society. The members of the AILTC are teachers of law, teaching in various universities and colleges in India. It has about 600 members.
 
Our Mission
The aims and objectives of the AILTC are to promote the interests of legal education and members of law teachers.
 
 
Office Bearers
 
The General Body of the All India Law Teacher’s Congress (AILTC) have elected the following members of the Executive Council unanimously in its meeting held on 9th May 2009 at the premises of Indian Society of International Law(ISIL) New Delhi, for two years period(2009-2011).
 
Professor J. L. Kaul President
Professor J.L.Kaul, LL.M, Ph.D. is working as a Professor of Law, at University of Delhi, Delhi-7. Prior to joining University of Delhi, he has served at Rohtak Law School and Chandigarh Law School. Professor Kaul was awarded fellowship by Institute of Public and International Law, Thessaloniki and also Hague External Fellowship. He has also served as Director, National Law College, Gurgaon. Professor Kaul has publications in areas of Human Rights and International trade.
He is associated with different law schools in India in various capacities. He is currently teaching International trade and Human Rights at Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
 
Dr. Manoj Kumar Sinha ( Secretary )
 
Manoj Kumar Sinha is Professor of Law at WB National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata. He did his Doctorate in International Law from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.. Subsequently, he was awarded the European Commission Scholarship to pursue an LL.M. in International Human Rights Law from the University of Nottingham. In 1998 he attended the 29th session of the International Institute of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France. He has published extensively in the field of international law, international relations, constitutional law,
international human rights, humanitarian and refugee laws, in reputed Indian and International Law journals. He was offered prestigious visiting Professorship at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, Lund, Sweden, for (2004-2005).

He started his career as Assistant Professor at the Indian Society of International Law (ISIL) and later on promoted to the post of Director of the ISIL in 2006 and served ISIL in same capacity till March 2009. In year 2007, he has been elected as Secretary of All India Law Teachers Congress (AILTC) and again reelected in 2009 for another two years term. He has been regularly delivering lectures at various institutions outside of the university, namely, law colleges in India and abroad, UGC Academic staff College, training programme of Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Environment and Forests.

His recent authored and edited books include: International Law: Issues and Challenges(2009); International Criminal Law: Issues and Challenges;(2009); Global Governance, Human Rights and Development ( 2009); Human Rights and Good Governance: National and International Perspectives (2008); Right to Health in the Context of HIV/AIDS in India and Africa (2007); Enforcement of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: International and National Perspectives( 2006); Humanitarian Intervention by the United Nations (2002); Implementation of Basic Human Rights (2001) and Basic Documents on International Human Rights & Refugee Laws (2001).
Professor B. C. Nirmal ( Vice President )
 
Prof. B.C.Nirmal, Professor of Law at Law School, Banaras Hindu University (BHU). He has had more than 31 years of experience of teaching for LL.B and LL.M classes, guided and supervised more than 50 LL.M dissertations (mostly on human rights law) and 12 Ph.D. students. He has authored/edited books and published research articles including The Right to Self-Determination in International Law (1999).

Prof. Satpal Kaur Nalwa, former Head and Dean of Department of Law, Panjabi University, Patiala. She is an eminent professor in international law. She holds Ph. D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She has published couples of profound articles/writings in reputed journals.

Dr. V.M. Peshwe
  Dr.V.M.Peshwe born on 11 January 1933(Ph.D., LL.B.) had been Principal of Amolakchand Mahavidyalaya( Law Faculty), Yavatmal, Maharashtra, from 1977 to 1992 and is an eminent teacher in International Law, Human Rights and Political Science. He has many books at his credit some of which are under the Co-authorship of his spouse Mrs. Mandakini Peshwe. He has done pioneering work of popularising International Criminal Court by translating Rome Statute of 1998 into Marathi language.
 
He has published many books in international law in Marthi language for Marathi Students in Maharashtra. He was awarded UN scholarship to visit and study International Criminal Court, in The Hague in 2005 along with Mrs. Manadakini Peshwe to study "Human Rights and the Court." He is visiting lecturer to teach Human Rights in Yashwantrao Chauhan Open University and Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University, Amravati.
